Transition Town launches in Estepona

With humanity at the point of a quantum structural change driven by the reality of the end of cheap petroleum the Transition Town movement is gaining momentum as a much needed tool to help local communities adapt to these seismic shifts in social and economic conditions. James Machin and Felipe Roman of Ecologistas en Acción hosted the very first meeting of the Transition Town concept in Spain in Estepona recently to start developing an ‘energy descent strategy’, create a network of people able to develop different areas of work such as transport, education and industry and provide a template for other interested groups to develop for their own local area.
