Welcome to holistic Coín, a place in the heart of nature that lends itself perfectly to retreats and personal development. Natural therapies, yoga, meditation and other holistic activities have always been a part of life for some in Coín, but the last year seems to have seen a rapid growth in interest and availability. From spiritual healing to yoga in geodesic domes, sweat lodges and tai chi courses, Coín offers everything you could need for personal development and spiritual growth.
“Our region is a hotbed of initiatives directed towards health and the environment.” Fernando Royo of holistic centre Vida Sana told Chispa. “This summer, for example, from July 12 until August 16, our School of Integrated Yoga will be organising holidays focused on coexistence, leisure, rest and the practice of Yoga, complemented with a healthy diet.” The holidays are designed to be an opportunity to combine a holiday with health, building relationships and personal development. They are also aimed at families and children’s activities have been included in the schedule. The venue is on the Rio Pereila, a river that flows all year round and is alive with animals and greenery during the hot summer months.
Another centre that is flourishing with new found energy is the Nazarene Centre on the outskirts of Coin. Originally built as a spiritual healing centre by Esteban Molino, the Nazarene Centre now hosts a variety of courses and workshops including Yoga, sacred geometry, meditation and movement and dance.
