Genetically engineered foods: a threat to fertility

A recent study has show that a genetically modified maize affect reproduction in mice. The studyreleased by the Austrian Government identifies threats to health from consumption of geneticallymodified organisms. This study is one of the few made on long-term effects of GMOs in food. It concludes that the fertility of mice fed with genetically modified maize was severely damaged, with a smaller offspring than mice fed conventional maize. the full article in Spanish can be found here.
