Hemp seeds are an incredible vegan source of biologically available and easily digested protein, containing all 10 essential amino acids as well as a healthy anti-inflammatory 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fat. In addition, hemp seeds contain an especially beneficial type of omega-6 fat called GLA (gamma linolenic acid) as well as being rich in disease-fighting, plant-based phyto nutrients and anti-aging antioxidants such as vitamin E, and an assortment of minerals including zinc, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium and iron. The high protein percentage of simple proteins help strengthen immunity and fend off toxins, and are nature’s highest botanical source of essential fatty acid, with more essential fatty acid than flax or any other nut or seed oil.
