Tai Chi gold

Congratulations to Isabel Rosas on winning 3 gold medals at the 9th Beijing International Wushu (martial arts) tournament held at the Shijingshan District sports centre in July. Over a thousand competitors from more than a dozen countries competed for medals in different categories of martial arts including many different styles of Tai Chi, Isabel’s chosen discipline. Representing the “Shenzhou” Asociación de la Cultura del Taiji de ámbito nacional en España (the spanish “Shenzou” national Tai chi Association), Isabel demonstrated 3 forms in Yang style Tai Chi including one sword form and won gold medals in each. “It was very hard training and required a lot of discipline,” Isabel told La Chispa. “I learned to understand even better the mentality of the original Chinese martial art: to overcome physical and mental limits to achieve the results that we aim for.”
