Dance Camp Spain is now in its third year.
Created by Jenny Wood, Rebecca Faro and Melchior Hof, it is a small and friendly event held in the beautiful Sierra Nevada near Órgiva, Spain.
It promises five days full of different dance and singing workshops with top facilitators, along with performances in the evening in a relaxing atmosphere.
There’s a good vegetarian cafeteria, and often you’ll be eating your meals overlooking mountains and valleys under a clear blue sky, after having danced all day, what bliss!
The next camp will be from Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th June 2014.
Please bring a tent, sleeping gear and a flashlight! We have tents for hire by arrangement at a small extra cost per day.
Or you could even just bring a bedroll and sleep out under the stars.
There will be a wide variety of activities on offer such as Ecstatic dance, Swing, Creative Dance, Salsa, African Dance, Belly dance, Magnetic Tai Chi, Hiphop, Reconnective Dance, Bollywood, Tango, Sevillanas, Free expresion and Movement, Scottish Country Dance amongst others, along with workshops – Hula-hoop, poi, yoga, Poetry in Movement, Singing, Trapeze,Samba.
Thai reflexologist Anna and Chair masseur Alan will again be offering treatments. Also there will be some stalls selling ethnic clothes.
Almost every culture worldwide shares dance as a celebration of creativity, self-expression and a joyful opening of the heart. Come and help us celebrate the start of summer in sunny, southern Spain in the stunning foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

If you are coming from outside the area there are buses from Malaga along the coast via Motril, or inland via Granada. There’s a good bus service from Malaga airport to Malaga bus station, from where you can pick up either connection. There is only one bus a day along the coast route, which leaves Malaga bus station at 15.00. Buses to Granada bus station are regular, every hour or so and there are several buses a day from Granada to Orgiva. The bus company is called ALSA and their website is at www.alsa.es.
There are also plenty of cheap car hire companies around the airport or we can help arrange a private taxi for you.
