Festival Arte Sano, one of the most popular alternative festivals on the Costa del Sol will be holding its 11th edition in San Pedro on December 5th and 6th.
Arte Sano is the largest free alternative festival on the coast and has established itself as an essential event showcasing healthy living, artistic expression, movement and dance and personal development. Peppered with a liberal mix of live performances, dance, activities, workshops, classes and plenty of stalls, including lots of healthy food options, and a dynamic children’s area, the festival offers something for everyone over the weekend.
The extensive programme of activities is published on the festival web site www.festivalartesano.com. There are a range of talks and practical workshops covering subjects like healthy living, community living, shiatsu massage beginners course, and energy balancing. The festival’s yoga space is always a popular place for people to try out different styles, and as always there are many local schools taking part.
All the activities on offer are free of charge for the visitors, allowing people to try things or learn about things that they are interested in, while the market area showcases the very best of ethnic handicrafts, therapies, natural and organic products, natural cosmetics and great healthy food. There is also a free Reiki area where people can experience this therapy at no cost.
The childrens’ area is an important part of the Arte Sano event experience, and Montessori group La Casa Verde once again bring their experience and enthusiasm to put together their own programme of activities, talks and workshops, helping teach the youngest visitors the value of healthy living and respect for the environment.
There is an entrance fee of 1€, collected by the charities that are supported by the festival, ensuring that all the money goes directly to fund their work.
Once again Arte Sano brings the colourful world of alternative Andalucia to San Pedro Alcantara for a fun and entertaining weekend
