The famous Greenpeace ship sailed into Valencia at the weekend to start a campaign round the Spanish part of the Mediterranean to highlight the dangers of prospecting for oil of the coasts of Spain. The environmental voluntary project, Sunseed, based in Sorbas, Almeria recently received financial assistance from the European Union for 3 volunteers under the European Voluntary Services Programme. From April to October the volunteers from Portugal and the UK will be sharing experiences at Sunseed and putting them ideas into practice following the values of the volunteering scheme: active citezenship, informal education, international cooperation and tolerance.
