On October 18 the second Permaculture Design Course (PDC 2013) will begin, organized by Arboretum Marbella. This course consists of 104 hours of intensive training which results in an internationally recognized qualification.

Over 2.000 European towns and cities are expected to participate in the 12th edition of European Mobility Week, an annual campaign promoting sustainable urban travel. The National energy commission (CNE) has ruled in favor of Greenpeace in its claims against the lobby of the electrical companies
Greenpeace welcome the ruling by the CNE in favor of the environmental organization in its claims against the Royal Decree on self-generated consumption. The proposal of the Ministry of Industry has been shown to be completely unauthorized, leaving the Minister, Soria, no choice but to withdraw its proposal and make another, totally different one.

Only two months until the upcoming meeting which will be held in Seville on the first weekend in November. This gathering continues the work that was done in Zarzalejos (2011) and Vitoria (2012), to once again bring together all the groups that are working round Spain. The organisers are requesting that all the groups involved send their proposals and ideas for the gathering so that they can prepare the programme of activities for the weekend.
