A lady came to the clinic with tiredness, arthritis, concentration, weight and digestive problems and a weak immune system. She was in bed for 10 hours a night and was still exhausted. She had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), the name given to a variably debilitating disorder generally defined by persistent fatigue unrelated to exertion and not substantially relieved by rest, and accompanied by various symptoms – for a minimum of six months. We are told that the cause of CFS is currently unknown and there is no diagnostic laboratory test or biomarker.
